Just as a quick update for you guys, gals, and purple blobs, I am currently in Chinese II here at MSSM. And today, the third, is the Chinese New Year. Well, the teachers of the Chinese classes are from China, actually, and so every year they hold an event for their students to celebrate the new year. They bring foodstuffs in and cook for their students and themselves, teaching us how to correctly make the skin and fill a dumpling, and even giving us some delicious pastry-like balls of red bean paste, surrounded by a fluffy casing, with a walnut hidden in the middle. These foods were exceptionally delicious and I enjoyed them more than any food I’ve had for a while. I am currently still tasting the delicious rice noodles and chicken, along with a spring roll and crab rangoons. It was quite the delicious experience, and this being a food blog, I thought I’d share it with you.
